Springhead run finally halted

FOOTBALL:

AFTER a storming end to their previous Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Premier Division campaign, Springhead are off to a rocky start this time.

They have picked up just one point from their first two games.

Elsewhere, Avro enjoyed a 3-2 win at Heywood St James, while Royton Town prevailed 3-0 at Stockport Georgians and 2-1 at home to Wythenshawe Amateurs.
