OLDHAM and Crompton might have given up hope of joining next season’s Premier Division, but Sunday’s derby at the Pollards promises to be a keenly-contested affair.
Oldham have added new personnel to their squad in recent months, but have been unable to climb the table.
Crompton returned to winning ways at Clifton last Saturday and will be keen to build on that triumph.
Oldham warm up for the derby with a trip to Radcliffe tomorrow, while Crompton host Heywood, who still entertain hopes of a titletriumph.
Leaders Walsden hold all the aces at present, but Royton could dent their hopes at the Paddock tomorrow.
Werneth’s season has been a sobering one for skipper Matthew Taylor and his men, but a decent finish would give them something to build on and victory at Milnrow tomorrow and at home to Unsworth 24 hours later would be a start.
Matches get under way at 1pm this weekend.
