BUSY Brothers Adam and Lee Rowbotham teamed up to win the Saddleworth Am-Am.
The pair hot-footed it from a competition on their home course of Werneth in the morning — see story below — to make their tee-time.
And, thanks to a 45 points haul, the Rowbothams — Lee is captain of Werneth — came out on top after a card play-off from Saddleworth duo Jamie Heywood and Jeff Howarth.
The host club also filled the next two places, with Alan Entwistle and Steve Baron (43pts) denying Mick Harrington and Nick Kane third place after another card play-off.
STEVE Daubney is certainly a man to watch out for when the rains come.
Last year, in his first season at Werneth, Steve carried off the 36-hole captain’s day prize after a rain delay.
And now the seven handicapper has added the James Waterhouse Trophy to his list of major successes after splashing his way around the Garden Suburb course.
He played in the worst of the weekend conditions to record a two-under gross 66 for a superb net 59 and a three-shot winning margin over Gareth Hey (68-6-62).
