Jackman eyes away-day upset

RUGBY:
EMERSON Jackman reckons his Saddleworth Rangers side have a “great chance” to cause a big upset next week.
Relegation-threatened Rangers visit title-chasing Wigan St Pats on Tuesday in a rearranged National Conference League Premier Division clash (7.30pm).
The two sides were due to meet on Saturday, but the fixture was switched to midweek as the hosts are away to Egremont Rangers in the semi-finals of the Conference Challenge Trophy.
And Jackman believes that could work in his side’s favour.
He said: “Egremont are no mugs and St Pats could be battered and bruised. There is also the fatigue factor to consider. It’s a good thing for us and a great chance to pick up another win.
“We also led St Pats in our home game, so we know that we can hurt them.”
Rangers moved off the bottom of the table after a nail-biting 40-34 win over fellow strugglers Oulton Raiders last week.
