RUGBY UNION:
GARETH Barber makes a welcome return to the Oldham line-up for the opening game of the North Lancashire Division One season tomorrow.
The former Roughyed missed the end of the 2011-12 campaign because of a hamstring injury, but is fit and raring to go.
Oldham’s first test is a tough one, away to De La Salle (3pm), but Guy Lovegreen’s side already have a match under their belts, albeit a 23-10 defeat to Ruskin Park in the first round of the Lancashire Plate.
For the first time, rolling substitutions will be allowed in all league fixtures. Teams can use a maximum number of eight player interchanges in a game.
