SNOOKER:
BLUE Club ‘B’ are making the early running in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
A 5-1 victory in their opening-day clash against Three C’s ‘B’ was followed by a 6-0 whitewash of Stanley Road ‘A’.
The club’s ‘A’ team have also made an impressive start with 5-1 and 4-2 wins.
A break of 33 in week one from Ian Saint showed Stanley Road ‘B’ have settled in nicely at their new surroundings. They beat Moss Inn 5-1.
Danny Blacerzak made his customary good start to the season, firing in a 32 break to clinch a 5-1 victory for North Chadd ‘B’ over CBC. This was followed by a 3-3 draw against North Chadd ‘A’.
Addy Hussain’s break of 32 for Three C’s ‘A’ was to be his only scoring visit as Russ White proved too strong for him taking the frame for Blue Club ‘A’.
Three C’s ‘B’ have made a strong start in the Cards Division, with victories by 4-0 and 3-1 margins putting them a one-point lead.
