Hot Harrison takes Medlock Bridge honours

BOB Harrison netted another win in the Medlock Bridge AC Open on the Park Lake.
On peg 25, Harrison opted for maggot at nine metres for 17lb 10oz of roach, perch and the odd skimmer.
Second-best Mick Molloy had a 13lb 7oz bag, which included small skimmers and roach on the 10-metre pole and pellet.
ALAN Shaw, of Tight Lines, clinched top honours in the last of the Dave Slattery Memorial qualifiers on Chadderton Mill Lodge. Employing caster up in the water, he had 59lb 8oz of ide and a solitary carp.
Mick Tighe was second with 48lb 10oz, also made up of ide taken on caster up in the water.
NO fishing is allowed on Chadderton Mill Lodge until building work is completed, but the Dave Slattery Memorial final goes ahead tomorrow. Information from Lee Humphries on 07522156978.
ROGER Priestley clinched a cracking Todmorden AS open match on the Rochdale Canal. He tempted a dozen skimmers and lots of roach to 12 ounces on caster at 11 metres for 24lb 4oz.
John Meredith, on the next peg, had several fish around the 12 ounce mark on hemp and caster for 12lb 13oz. Todmorden have an open match on the Rochdale Canal on Sunday. The draw is at Queensway McDonalds at 8.45am. Fishing 10am-3pm. Details, 07769 905319.
OLDHAM Central AC visited Cudmore Fisheries, where they found Brewster Lake in fine form.
The winner, Paul Nield, used worm and caster in the margins for f1s and skimmers to 3lb and a 53lb 8oz total. Dave Timmins was the runner up on 50lb 2oz of skimmers and f1s.
OLD Hough Farm Fishery was in fine form for the latest Lees and Hey AS match with plenty of weights over 20lb. Steve Blackburn won with a 44lb 14oz mixed bag. Second was John Warriner with a 32lb 2oz variety catch. Lees and Hey AS hold an open match at Highfield Fisheries tomorrow. Info: 628 3211 or 07533 607137.

Alexandra Park Lake: Day tickets on the bank. Lots of fish being caught on this superb water. Maggot and pellet for roach and skimmers.
Hollingworth Lake: Day ticket water. Always good for a few bites.
