Royton’s Premier hopes alive

CRICKET: ROYTON kept alive their hopes of a top-eight finish in the Lake Garage CLL with an impressive eightwicket win at Radcliffe.
Monton and Weaste, one of Royton's main rivals for a place in next season's Premier Division, suffered a home defeat at the hands of Clifton, so it was an excellent Saturday for the Paddock club.
Radcliffe took first guard and were skittled for 122,
Royton reached their target for the loss of just two wickets.
OLDHAM produced one of their better performances, but it was not enough to derail the title challenge of leaders Walsden.
Oldham fought their way to a respectable 164, but the visitors reached their target for the loss of five wickets.
CROMPTON'S winning streak came to an end at home to Norden, who triumphed by seven wickets.
Crompton were bowled out for only 100, a target well within the reach of the visitors, who lost three wickets
WERNETH suffered a crushing defeat at Littleborough, who bowled out the visitors for only 76.
