Hodson in Tonge finals

BOWLS: TWO Oldham Evening Chronicle Bowling Handicap winners are through to the finals of the Tonge Classic on Sunday (4pm).
Alan Hodson (Springbank), the current Chronicle champion, and Garry Coverdale (North Chadderton), winner in 2010, qualified with victories over Keith McHugh and Chris Mordue respectively.
NIMBLE Nook’s Steve Mellor and Barry Seville have qualified for the finals of the Solar Choice men’s singles at Norden BC on Sunday (5pm). Mellor overcame Jordan Duckworth (Milnrow) 21-9, while Seville beat Clive Chapman (Hopwood) 21-18.
CHADDERTON League Merit finals will be held at Royton Cricket Club on Thursday (6.45pm).
