RUGBY: WATERHEAD maintained their chances of promotion from Division Two by seeing off visiting Dewsbury Celtic 24-13 - but it wasn’t entirely straightforward.
Craig Highton was first over for the home side. But Danny Thomas’s try and drop goal and a touch down from James Eatherley, added to by a pair of Nicki Crabtree goals, left Dewsbury sitting pretty at 13-6 up.
But Waterhead tries from Scott Beswick, John Brow and Peter Davies ensured back-to-back wins which leaves the club needing three wins from its last four games to gain promotion.
