Delph double up

CRICKET: DELPH are celebrating a silverware double in the Drakes Huddersfield League.
While the first team lifted the Romida Sykes Cup, the club’s second string won the Earnshaw Cup after a thrilling final against Clayton West.
The hosts piled up an impressive 276 for three in their 45 overs.
In reply, Delph’s 15-year-old opener Bradley Cunningham scored 68 and skipper Phil Lees 42.
They needed 30 runs off the last two overs, with eight wickets down.
Ian Cotterill and 14-year-old Daniel Jones hit out to leave Delph needing six to win off the last ball — which Ian hammered over the boundary.
