SKIPPER Alan Durose will be hoping to lead from the front during a vital weekend for Royton.
CRICKET: WERNETH can hand Walsden the Lake Garage CLL title on a platter tomorrow.
Should Matt Taylor’s team defeat the visitors to the Coppice, Walsden will be crowned champions - even if they lose at home to Radcliffe.
A victory for Heywood would be rendered null should Walsden win at home - but a win for them and a loss for Walsden would mean Sunday’s clash of the top two at Walsden would be a title decider.
Werneth complete their league fixtures on Sunday with a home game against Rochdale.
Royton need to win both their matches this weekend to secure a place in the top eight and qualify for next year’s Premier Division.
They face Rochdale tomorrow before a shoot-out with Littleborough, the team immediately above them in the table, on Sunday.
Crompton have a tough end to the season with trips to Middleton and Norden, and it’s a similar story for Oldham, who must travel to Milnrow and Unsworth.
