NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY climbed to the summit of Evo-Stik League Division One North courtesy of a 2-1 win at Prescot Cables.
The hosts went in front two minutes into the second period against the run of play, Glyn Barker capitalising on Dave Young's hesitation to smash home.
But the Lilywhites restored parity less than 10 minutes later when Kayde Coppin beat his man and shot across the goalkeeper with a smart finish.
And soon afterwards Steve Halford's men struck the winner, Young's free-kick evading everyone and ending up in the net.
CHADDERTON exited the FA Vase at the second qualifying round stage after a 2-1 reverse at Hall Road Rangers.
It was an uphill struggle for Paul Buckley's side after goals from Matt Fyvie (7) and Jon Slater (12) put them on the back foot. Matthew Russell pulled back a goal after 15 minutes, but the away outfit could not force an equaliser.
OLDHAM Boro were beaten 4-1 at West Didsbury and Chorlton in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Dave Kilbride broke the deadlock for the home side just after the restart, before three goals in the last 10 minutes from Tommy Walsh, Danny Summers and Lee Shillito rubbed salt in the wound.
Matt Landregan (83) got Boro's consolation goal.
