Red-hot Ken has the power

Angling: KEN Power, of TRI-CAST Highfield, continued his rich vein of form by clinching the 30-peg open on Sycamore Fisheries in Wigan.
Drawn on peg 14 and fishing 14 metres to the island, he caught 15lb 8oz of small carp, barbell, tench, skimmers, roach and chub with 4mm and 6mm pellets over micros. Tony Roberts was second with 13lb 8oz.
PETER Hill landed the latest Medlock Bridge AC open on the Park Lake.
Using pole, caster and maggot approach, he bagged 14lb 10oz of roach, chub, perch and skimmers.
Tony Simcock, the runner-up, was just 5oz adrift with a 14lb 5oz catch made up of eight chub on the tip and some roach and perch on the pole.
CHRIS Oliver claimed the Todmorden AS Trophy match on Townhouse. Opting for the pellet and pole approach, he had in the tune of 31lb of carp.
Pete Mottram, in second place, enticed 19lb 12oz of carp, also on pellet and waggler.
LEES and Hey AS are staging an open match at Old Hough (upper Benbo Lake) on September 29.

DUNLOP AC are holding a charity match on their club water on Sunday in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

STUART Taylor bagged the Lees and Hey AS match on Candy Corner.
He weighed in a 32lb 13oz net made up of a 7lb carp, skimmers and roach on pole and maggot.
Second was Steve Blackburn, with the tip, meat and corn approach tempting five carp for 30lb 2oz.
SADAS held their latest match on Eagle Mill Dam, where organiser Dave Castle was first with three bream, one chub and two golden orfe. They were attracted by the pole and caster at nine metres and tipped the scales at 8lb 5oz. Jeff Dawson was second with a 2lb 12oz net, which included chub and bits taken on pole and maggot.

Ogden Reservoir: Day tickets on the bank and at Tight Lines in Shaw. Bream on swimfeeder cast to the 30 to 40-yard mark. Pegs behind the cottages the best.
Huddersfield Narrow Canal: Day tickets on the bank. Carp and the odd chub on SADAS lengths.
Rochdale Canal: Roach, skimmers and bream are making up most nets, although the odd tench are making an appearance. Bread punch, squatt and caster all catching fish.
Bardsley Canal: Day tickets on the bank.
Alexandra Park Lake: Day tickets on the bank. Usual maggot and caster on pole and tip catching plenty of roach, skimmers and chub. Odd small barbel showing.
Hollingworth Lake: Day-ticket water. Skimmers and big perch as well as small roach to the tip and maggot.
