Lilywhites move clear at the top

NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY moved into a four-point lead at the top of Evo-Stik League Division One North following a 2-1 win at Radcliffe Borough.
In-form forward Kayde Coppin broke the deadlock after 23 minutes with a cool finish from close range.
Boro improved after the interval and Ben Wharton's long-range drive was palmed over expertly by visiting goalkeeper Martin Pearson.
But the Lilywhites looked a class apart and doubled their advantage just after the hour mark.
With 12 minutes remaining Wharton nodded in from point-blank range after Pearson had initially denied him and Chris McDonagh.
But Laquan Esdaile was sent off for Boro following a second yellow card five minutes from time, and Mossley saw out the contest to claim three points.
DERBY day saw Oldham Boro denied victory at the death as they drew 3-3 at home to Rochdale Town in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Kristian Evans opened the scoring for Town after 12 minutes, and Lee Kershaw's strike with half-an-hour on the clock made it 2-0.
Lee Knowles hit back for Boro after converting new boy Joe Heap's delivery, and Will Buckley levelled for Tony Mills's side after the restart courtesy of a superb overhead kick.
Sam Freakes netted with an hour gone to put Boro ahead for the first time.
Kershaw equalised in the 89th minute to ensure a share of the spoils.
CHADDERTON earned a 2-1 home victory at the expense of Northwich Villa in NWCL Division One.
Keith Melvin netted for the hosts after 18 minutes, heading in Matty Russell’s pinpoint cross at the far post.
And Chris Pauley pounced just before the half-time whistle, beating two defenders before unleashing an unstoppable left-foot effort which went in off the post.
Lee Garwood pulled back a goal for Villa with 20 minutes of the match remaining.
