RUGBY:
HOLLINWOOD went down to a 48-14 defeat at Brighouse Rangers ‘A’ in Pennine League Division Five.
The depleted visitors had to field a makeshift side but it was a decent effort against a side with several experienced players.
OLDHAM St Anne’s ‘A’ were defeated 66-22 at Leigh Miners Rangers ‘A’ in Dominos Pizza North-West Men’s League Division Two.
The hosts ran in nine tries before Kendal Davies crossed for Saints, Martyn Swaine goaling.
In a closer second half Davies, Martin Ryan and Ryan O’Donnell went over, with Swaine twice converting.
