MOSSLEY exited the FA Trophy at the first qualifying round stage after losing 3-1 at home to FC United in last night’s replay.
Jake Cottrell’s 19th minute strike gave the visitors the lead at the interval.
Lilywhites skipper Dave Young was dismissed during the half-time break for dissent, and goals from Nicky Platt (58) and Dave Birch (81) extended FC United’s advantage.
Kayde Coppin (87) scored a late consolation goal for Steve Halford’s side.
The first clash, at Gigg Lane at the weekend, ended 3-3 after Mossley surrendered a 3-0 lead.
