Grice stays cool to punish Saints

RUGBY:
A LATE penalty denied Oldham St Anne’s a share of the spoils against Stanley Rangers in Division One of the National Conference League.
The scores were even when Saints were punished for obstruction. Danny Grice slotted over the kick to seal a 14-12 victory for the visitors to Higginshaw Lane.
It was a disappointing way for Saints, who were already relegated, to wrap up their home fixtures.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers gave as good as they got in a 26-6 defeat at home to NCL Premier Division title hopefuls West Hull.
Emerson Jackman’s men, who seven days earlier had stunned Myton Warriors, went in front in the eighth minute.
Second-row man Jack Connor dived in and impressive scrum-half Josh Bradbury kicked the goal.
Wests were level after a quarter of an hour and the visitors pulled away when Jimmy Walker crossed for a 10-6 lead at half-time.
Rangers complete their season with a trip to Leigh Miners tomorrow (kick-off 7.30pm).
WATERHEAD had no game in Division Two as opponents Crosfields were unable to raise a team.
