Larry, Barry act in Unison

LARRY Bainbridge and Barry Elliot played starring roles as Unison ‘A’ recorded their first Oldham Table Tennis League Division One win of the season with an 8-2 success at Honeywell ‘B’.
Ken Hayes took the first set for Honeywell before Bainbridge and Elliot made it 2-1 for Unison.
Tommy Ryan levelled things in the fourth, but Bainbridge and Elliot remained unbeaten on the night as Unison stamped their authority.
Saddleworth ‘A’ stayed top with a 7-3 victory at Rosehill.
Hollinwood ‘D’ went 10 points clear at the top of Division Two after beating Honeywell ‘D’ 9-1.
Brian Higgins took the first set for Honeywell, but James Chappell and Daniel Clarke recorded maximums for Hollinwood.
Uppermill ‘A’ enjoyed their first win of the campaign when they saw off previously-unbeaten Honeywell ‘C’ 7-3.
