FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY player-manager Steve Halford sits out tomorrow’s Evo-Stik League Division One North trip to Salford City after being ruled out for a month with a hamstring strain.
The centre half limped off in the early stages of the 2-0 midweek home loss at the hands of Skelmersdale.
He joins Keil O’Brien and midfield man Ben Richardson on the sidelines.
Halford said: “We are down to the bare bones now and I would like to bring in one or two players before tomorrow’s match, although it isn’t proving straightforward. We have a smaller squad than most of the other teams in this division so when injuries strike, we are vulnerable.”
OLDHAM Boro have snapped up midfield maestro Tom Hughes from rivals Chadderton.
He will make his debut tomorrow in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One trip to Eccleshall.
CHADDERTON entertain Leek CSOB in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One Trophy first round. Paul Buckley’s side are looking to build on the 4-2 league victory over Nelson last time out.
