UNBEATEN Oldham enjoyed a 52-46 Premier League win at The Downs, Twickenham.
The visitors got out of the blocks quickly with strong play from goal attack Kathryn Turner, and headed into the first break 13-10 up.
Oldham were 27-22 up at the halfway mark, at which point Georgie Webster entered the fray as goal keeper and Rachel Taylor was introduced at wing defence.
Team changes lost the side some mementum and increased pressure from the Downs defence forced errors.
Oldham eventually took control and slowed the gane, losing the quarter 17-14.
In the final phase Oldham swapped again and the change had an immediate impact. The hosts made more mistakes under pressure and Oldham took advantage.
Hall as said: “We gritted our teeth and dug deep when it mattered. Once we settled down, for a young team we played with maturity.”
