SPRINGHEAD made it four wins on the spin with a 5-1 home victory over Heywood St James in Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Premier Division.

Richard Bennett produced a fine piece of skill to outwit two opponents and fire home after 20 minutes.

Paul Stevenson extended the lead soon afterwards, courtesy of a neat finish at the back post, before Heywood pulled back a goal just before he interval.

The hosts started the second period strongly and restored their two-goal cushion with an hour gone, Adam Monks providing Bennett with his second goal of the contest.

Stevenson put his side out of sight 10 minutes later when he curled the ball into the net, and he completed his hat-trick late on after a fantastic run by Dale Jackman.

Avro remain top of the table after holding East Manchester to a 1-1 draw.

Division One action saw Hollinwood earn a 4-2 home win at the expense of promotion rivals Stockport Sports reserves.
