Mossley may put faith in Madeley

FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY hot-shot Sam Madeley is pushing for a starting spot in tomorrow’s home clash with Burscough in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Madeley staked his claim for a place in Steve Halford’s side by coming off the bench to score the second goal in the Lilywhites’ 2-0 win against Lancaster City.
With fellow forward Kayde Coppin in unstoppable form, a start for Madeley would probably result in striker Sam Hind dropping to the bench.
Mossley have strengthened their squad ahead of tomorrow’s game with the signing of back-up goalkeeper Ashlea Gotham. The former Glossop North End player joins former Hillmen team-mates Hind, Jay Gorton and Dave Young at Seel Park.
Mossley will continue their defence of the Manchester FA Premier Cup with a quarter-final trip to neighbours Ashton United on January 7, 2013.
CHADDERTON are set for a double boost ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Formby in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Strikers Carl Valentine and Ryan Fagan both look likely to return for Paul Buckley’s ninth-placed team, against the side who occupy fifth position in the table.
OLDHAM Boro can make it seven games without loss if they avoid defeat at Daisy Hill tomorrow in NWCL Division One. Tony Mills’ men, seventh in the table, will be confident of victory against a team languishing in 15th.
