Russell inspires Chadderton

CHADDERTON earned a terrific 5-3 triumph over leaders AFC Darwen in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One, with Matty Russell helping himself to a hat-trick.

The win, with other goals from Ryan Fagan and Niall Sultan, lifted Paul Buckley's men up to seventh in the table.

o OLDHAM Boro’s seven-game unbeaten run came to a juddering halt following a 2-0 loss at Ashton Town in North-West Counties League Division One.

Sean Robinson handed Town the advantage just before the interval and Michael Cummins addd a second in the 90th minute.
