OLDHAM Hulmeians reserves maintained their push for promotion from Division Three with a 3-1 win over Bacup United.
Danny Proffitt got two of the goals and Paul Hinchliffe the other to seal back-to-back victories against the visitors.
In Division Six, an understrength Hulmeians ‘A’ slumped to a 5-1 defeat at leaders Thornleigh ‘A’.
The club’s ‘B’ side threw away a match-winning position against their Thornleigh counterparts in Division Seven.
Despite being two goals to the good, Hulmeians succumbed to a 5-4 defeat. The result was tough luck on striker Daniel Gordon, whose hat-trick was in vain.
Hulmeians’ first-team game at Old Blackburnians in Division Two was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
