Springhead out on their own

RUNWAY leaders Springhead continued on their merry way in the ‘B’ Division of the Inbev Winter Bowling League with a 9-2 victory over Vixens.

MEMBERS of Friezland Bowling Club are celebrating a success-filled season.

The Friezland Weavers team in the Failsworth League secured back-to-back titles, adding the ‘B’ Division crown to the ‘C’ Division championship they won last year.

The Chadderton League team sealed promotion to the ‘A’ Division, while the women’s team collected the Tameside League’s Division One title.

And the Friezland team in the Tameside Veterans League clinched promotion to the first division.

Trophies will be handed out at Friezland’s presentation on Saturday night (7.30pm). Everyone is welcome to attend.
