New best for Lord in dash

TEN members of Oldham and Royton Harriers joined 9,000 competitors in Leeds for the 10k Abbey Dash.
The race set off from outside Leeds Town Hall, proceeded to Kirkstall Abbey and back.
Dominic Kennerley was the first Harrier to cross the line in an excellent time of 38:51.
Pete Williams ran a fine race in 42:14, and he was followed by Lee O’Brien (42:48).
Anne-Marie Lord set a personal best of 43:48, with Kirsty Moore (48:01) and Sara Bott (48:43) in behind.
There were also pbs for Lindsey Rudd (53:11), Liz Whitworth (53:33), Elloise Garside (53:46) and Abbie Webb (54:23).
Meanwhile, Harriers’ young athletes performed with distinction host at Sportcity in the second Greater Manchester Sportshall League match.
