North Chadd return to top spot

SNOOKER:
WITH the Blue Club ‘B’ result still pending, North Chadd ‘B’ are back on top spot in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
The reigning champions returned to the summit courtesy of a 4-2 victory at Stanley Road ‘B’.
Addy Hussain was in fine form once again, notching a break of 34 as Three C’s ‘A’ defeated Nimble Nook 4-2 at home.
Geoff Hill’s break of 44 for High Crompton was enough to clinch the last frame on the night, but not the aggregate point as his side lost 4-2 at Deaf Club.
SECOND in the table Cricket suffered a surprise defeat in the Saw-Tech Shaw League.
They were beaten 4-2 at home by Tara ‘B’, who raced into a 3-0 lead before G Rigby stopped the rot. J Mills recorded a fine victory in the last frame.
The Tara club was in decent touch on the green baize, with the ‘A’ team holding leaders Moss Inn to a 3-3 draw, thanks to a fine 68 points win in the aggregate.
It was a great night for breaks, with M Smith (42) and M Dickenson (39), representing Moss Inn and Tara’s C North (36) among the balls.
