Strudwick kick-starts recovery

OLDHAM RU Colts continued their perfect start to the Raging Bull North-West League season with a 38-15 victory over Winnington Park.
There was an early setback when Park notched a converted try, but Zac Strudwick burst forward and fed scrum-half Jack Williams, who crashed over between the sticks. Fly-half Josh Pattison added the extras.
Oldham took control with two touchdowns before the interval, Patterson improving the scoreline on both occasions.
The second period saw Park rally and add points late on, though the side played much of the half a man down following an accident in which Jack Roberts broke his leg.
Williams bagged a second try for Oldham, with prop Ben Arthurs and man-of-the-match Strudwick also getting in on the act. Jobson converted the penultimate try.
Oldham sent their best wishes to Jack Roberts after the match and wished him a speedy recovery.
