Mossley check on strikers
Date published: 31 December 2012
MOSSLEY will check on the fitness of strikers Sam Hind and Sam Madeley ahead of tomorrow's home clash with New Mills in Evo-Stik League Division One North (3pm kick-off).
Both men are ahead of schedule in their recoveries, with Hind nursing a knee problem and Madeley on the comeback trail from an ankle injury.
The Lilywhites go into the contest four points clear at the top of the table.
Neighbours New Mills will be no pushovers — they are currently seventh in the table, having played less games than any other team in the division.
Mossley's match against Clitheroe at the weekend was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, so boss Steve Halford will be hoping the weather does not intervene tomorrow.
oIN Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One, Chadderton's game at Northwich Villa and Oldham Boro's clash with Cheadle Town also fell foul to the weather and had to be postponed.
The sides are not in action again until Saturday.
