Avro’s award delight
Date published: 04 January 2013
FOOTBALL: AVRO are celebrating after receiving an FA Charter Standard Community Club award.
There are now over 3,000 charter standard clubs, of which over 300 have community club status.
The programme demonstrates that clubs have an environment for football development, as well as providing parents and carers with the reassurance their children are playing football in a safe and friendly place.
HOLLINWOOD ‘A’ went down to a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Leigh Athletic ‘A’ in the Bridgewater Cup. All other local matches were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
