FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY player-manager Steve Halford will shuffle the pack for tomorrow’s home clash with Ossett Albion in Evo-Stik League Division One North.

The Lilywhites are four points clear at the top of the table — but go into the weekend stinging from a 4-0 defeat by New Mills.

Halford is in talks with two players in a bid to strengthen the squad. If they sign they could feature tomorrow.

Striker Sam Hind is pushing for his first start in two months after returning from a knee injury as a second-half substitute against New Mills, but forward Sam Madeley is a week away from fitness.

Halford said: “We looked like a bunch of petulant schoolboys in the last match and the defending was awful. We were muscled out. The players have been told what I thought of their performance.”

OLDHAM Boro travel to high-flying Abbey Hey tomorrow in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One. Tony Mills’ sixth-placed side are three places behind their hosts, having played three more games.

CHADDERTON, who sit in ninth spot, can close the gap on the teams above them with a positive result at home to Leek CSOB, who are 13th in the table.
