CRICKET: TWO stars of Royton’s excellent 2011 campaign are to return for this year’s Lake Garage CLL campaign.
Chris Hutchinson and Ryan Carruthers, who helped the Paddock side to reach the final of the Wood Cup two seasons ago, have told the club they will be available for selection once again.
Hutchinson (23), an all-rounder from Perth who plays grade cricket in Australia, took over 50 wickets and scored more than 700 runs on his last visit to England.
Carruthers (21), a Cumbrian lad who impressed as a top-order batsman in 2011, has finished his studies at university and is free to resume his cricketing ambitions at the Paddock after playing nearer to home last summer.
