Josh Cooper in action
SNOOKER:
HIGHLIGHT of the action in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League was Josh Cooper’s break of 72 for Three Cs ‘A’ during their 4-2 victory at home to Deaf Social.
But hot on his heels was Royton Band’s Alan Hopkinson jnr, who had a run of of 69 against Mick Smith during a 4-2 victory at home to Moss Inn ‘B’.
Danny Balcerzak’s break of 39 was not enough to pinch the frame from John Heywood as North Chadderton ‘B’ were held 3-3 by Nimble Nook ‘B’.
And despite a break of 34 from M J Smith of Blue Club ‘B’ he was unable to overcome Kenny Jonczyk.
Blue suffered their third defeat in a row and are now tied at the top with North Chadderton’s ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams on 73 points.
