RUGBY:
PETE Davies scored a hat-trick of tries before half-time as Hollinwood swept aside Eastmoor Dragons 38-4 in the Pennine League’s Supplmentary Cup.
Andy Gorey also crossed the line and added a conversion as the home side built up an 18-0 lead at the mid-way point of the round-two clash.
Hollinwood, second-bottom in Division Five, extended their advantage soon after the restart
Though Davies quite rightly took plaudits for his four-try show, Liam Parker, Terry Whalley and Pete Jackson also impressed.
Hollinwood, who visit Crofton Cougars in the league on Saturday, face Whitworth Spartans at home in the next round of the competition.
