FOOTBALL:
THE winter weather put paid to the local non-league schedule at the weekend.
In Evo-Stik League Division One North, a frozen playing surface ruled out action at Seel Park, where Mossley were due to entertain Farsley.
The Lilywhites, back in action at Goole on Saturday, have signed goalkeeper Russell Saunders from New Mills.
In Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One, Chadderton versus Atherton Collieries and Oldham Boro against Daisy Hill also fell foul of the weather.
