Dale dear to me, says Hill

FOOTBALL:

KEITH Hill will be Rochdale FC manager until the end of the season.

Hill established himself as the most successful manager in Dale’s history before leaving to take over at Championship outfit Barnsley in 2011.

Rochdale appointed Steve Eyre before turning to John Coleman a year ago.

Coleman was sacked earlier this week, and since Hill was relieved of his duties by Barnsley last month, it’s again a case of as you were at Spotland.

“I didn’t hesitate,” said Hill. “Rochdale Football Club will always remain dear to me.

“I’ll be here until the end of the season and we will take stock of the situation then. Until then we have an 18–game season to think about, to plan and to achieve so that’s what I, the players and staff will be doing. I’m delighted to be back and can’t wait to get started."
