Taylor injury blow for Oldham

PAIN GAME: Oldham’s Rachael Taylor (right) is set to sit out the remainder of the season.
NETBALL: RACHAEL Taylor, Oldham Netball Club’s vice-captain and last season’s player of the year, is likely to miss the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
The injury blighted the team’s 61-45 victory over Leeds Athletic.
“It was a great win for us - but it came at a cost. I wish Rachael all the best with her recovery,” said coach Debbie Hallas.
Emma Dovey also suffered a knock to the jaw in the National Premier League Division One match, though she should be fit to face the Downs at Hathershaw on Sunday — Oldham’s first home game since November.
Unbeaten Oldham are three points clear of Academy at the top and are on course to retain their title.
