Wait over as Glodwick ‘B’ win again

TABLE TENNIS:
GLODWICK ‘B’ recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since October thanks to a 7-3 victory at Unison ‘A’ in Division One of the Oldham Table Tennis League.
Barry Elliot claimed the opening set for the hosts, but Glodwick retaliated by taking the next three.
Elliot clinched another to make it 3-2, but Jeffrey Craighill, Zillur Rahman and Kristof Pinter all bagged braces to seal the win.
Elliot completed his hat-trick in the ninth. Unison remain without a win in seven matches.
Hollinwood ‘A’ maintained their two-point advantage over Honeywell ‘A’ after the two sides had to settle for a 5-5 draw, in which half of the sets stretched to a fifth game.
In Division Two, the Honeywell derby. between the ‘D’ and ‘C’ sides finished level at 5-5.
Pennine registered only their second win of the season with a 7-3 victory at Werneth ‘C’.
Steve Mather claimed Pennine’s only points when the sides last met and his maximum helped to inspire the visitors to their only win since the start of October.
