Mossley hit by problems

FOOTBALL; MOSSLEY will be without suspended defender Mark Haslam for tomorrow’s Evo-Stik League Division One North home clash with Cammell Laird.
The Lilywhites are also anxiou about the fitness of defender Chris Brown, who went off injured with half-an-hour remaining in the 3-0 derby defeat at Curzon Ashton last time out.
Mossley’s hopes of winning the league title are all but over, having slipped from top spot to third and with fewer matches to play than their rivals.
Striker and top scorer Kayde Coppin, who was given a 10-minute cameo off the substitutes’ bench against Curzon, is pushing for a starting berth up front.
Veteran Peter Band is the most likely candidate to start if Brown fails to recover.
OLDHAM Boro face the daunting prospect of an away game against leaders AFC Darwen tomorrow in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Eighth-placed Boro can leap a couple of places up the table if they defeat their title-chasing opponents.
IT is derby day for Chadderton as they travel to Rochdale Town in NWCL Division One.
Paul Buckley’s side occupy ninth position, one place ahead of Town and having played two more fixtures. Chadderton can close the gap on fierce rivals Oldham Boro if they come out on top.
