North-South divide growing

NETBALL: OLDHAM Netball Club are seven points clear at the top of Premier League One after a superb 52-40 victory at nearest rivals Academy.
The local outfit also have a game in hand.
Despite a comfortable 44-29 win in the reverse fixture, Oldham were in no mood to take this one lightly.
They made a flying start with four unanswered goals.
Academy stepped up their game and it was all-square (12-12) at the first break.
The second quarter was a scrappy affair with both sides making errors.
Academy went on a three-goal run which lifted the crowd, but Oldham responded to trail 22-21 at half-time.
Both teams made changes at the break, and Oldham moved ahead, leading 37-30 after the third quarter.
The intensity of the game started to show on both sides, but Oldham continued to fight strongly.
