George lead the way in goal glut

FOOTBALL: MIDAS Plumbing Oldham Sunday League Division Three was awash with goals as Famous King George B led the way with an 8-2 win against Rifle Range ‘C’.

Scott Dunthorne (three), Daryl Lawrence (two), Michael Chadderton, Tom Ferry and Anthony Roberts struck for George, while Danny Else and Danny O'Keefe replied.

Dog and Duck romped to an 8-2 win at Junction as Dominic Hallum and John Leach each scored three.

Limeside Gardeners Rest ‘B’ overpowered Oldham FC 6-3.

In the Jack Abbott Premier Division, Fitton Hill Rangers edged out Crompton House Old Boys 3-2 as Paul Badby, Ashley Ainsworth and David Hodgkins scored.

Famous King George ‘A’ and Limeside King George drew 3-3 in a cracker.

Legends Bar squeezed past Coppice Utd ‘A’ 4-3 as Leighton Stephenson, Vincent Edwards, David Laryea and an own goal registered for the victors.

Ali, Rashid and Younis replied.

In David Giblin Division One FC Dynamos edged out Oldham GPO 5-4. Karl Hallas (three), Zak Lees and Steve Walton scored for Dynamos, while Mike King’s four-timer was sadly in vain.

Limeside Gardeners Rest ‘A’ and Rifle Range ‘B’ drew 3-3. Graham Asplin, Coby Tyrell and Shaun Lowther scored for Gardeners, while Daniel Brown, Nathan Barker and Kieron Price replied.

Springhead Libs were well beaten, 4-0 at home by Anglers Arms as Mike Tierney, Dan Watson, Lee Hanson and Cameron Azhashemi pounced.

The Kenyon beat Failsworth Athletic 3-0 as James Kay (two) and Shaun Schofield scored.
