Hodson to sit out 15 games

ROYTON fast bowler Matthew Hodson will miss a huge chunk of the Lake Garage CLL season after swearing at an umpire at the end of the last campaign.
Hodson, who pleaded guilty to a fourth offence relating to his behaviour during CLL matches, has been banned for 15 matches by the league's management committee.
His latest misdemeanour occurred during the final match of the 2012 season against Rochdale.
League secretary Alan Wright said Hodson had used foul and abusive language – heard by everyone on the pitch – at an umpire who had turned down an appeal.
Hodson already had a five-match ban in abeyance from an offence in 2011 and this, added to his 10-match ban for reoffending, took his tally to 15.
To make matters even worse, he also has a suspended 10-match ban hanging over him until the end of the 2014 season.
Mr Wright added: “Matthew doesn’t seem to be learning from his mistakes.”
