Death of Dunwood stalwart

WILLIAM Booth, known fondly throughout the Oldham bowling community as Bill, has died at his home in Poulton-le-Fylde at the age of 67.
Bill was a stalwart at Dunwood Park Bowling Club for most of his life and won the Oldham Chronicle Bowling Handicap — then known as the Green Final — in 1985.
oT will be a battle of the champions in the final of the Inbev Winter Bowling League’s Knock-out on Sunday, March 24 (10am).
Waterloo and Taunton, winners of the ‘A’ Division, will take on the ‘B’ Division’s top club, Springhead.
