Jackman bemoans Rangers indiscipline

Rangers’ Liam Hall tries to find a way through.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers coach Emmerson Jackman hit out at his side’s lack of discipline after their opening-day loss to Wigan St Judes at Shaw Hall Bank Road.
The hosts were leading 12-0 at one stage in the National Conference League Division One clash only to finish up on the wrong end of a 28-14 scoreline.
“We threw it away again,” said Jackman, who is preparing for Saturday’s third-round Challenge Cup tie at Hunslet Old Boys.
“The fact we conceded 16 penalties tells its own story and it’s not as though we can blame the referee for every one.
“It’s killing us to be honest, because we did really well up to 50 minutes.”
Rangers, who included former Oldham RL player Gavin Dodd in the starting line-up, had Kiel Lancashire and Jack Bradbury sin-binned.
Jackman added: “The players are told time again to keep their discipline — it’s as though they switch off after building a big lead.
“Wigan St Judes are not a bad side, but we hit the self-destruct button.
“It was a similar story last season and I’d hoped we had sorted it out.”
To add injury to insult, Ryan Moores is waiting to see if he requires plastic surgery on a split ear sustained in the defeat.
Rangers are already without skipper Paul Raftery, who is facing up to 10 weeks on the sidelines after dislocating a knee in a Standard Cup tie last month.
