Heyside on the right track

HUDDERSFIELD LEAGUE
HEYSIDE secured an impressive 3-1 win at Holmfirth Town as they kept up their bid for promotion from the Huddersfield League Division Two.
Playing with the slope in the first half, Heyside led 2-0 at the interval.
James Taylor and Leon Perry were on target.
Carl Winstanley’s goal early in the second half saw Heyside storm even further clear.
Holmfirth reduced the arrears 15 minutes from time, after which the Heyside defence were forced to be resolute to secure another vital three points.
Heyide’s reserves eased into the quarter-finals of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy thanks to a 5-0 win against Upperthong Reserves.
Mark Kingsley and Kane Lees both scored twice, while Matthew Nokes added a fifth.
Uppermill will be disappointed as they slipped out of the Huddersfield FA Cup 1-0 at home against Bay Athletic, but Diggle went goal crazy in Division One, thumping hosts Lepton 9-2.
