JOSH Brown makes a break for Waterhead
RUGBY LEAGUE: Waterhead got off the mark in Division One of the National Conference League thanks to a 44-16 success at home to Eccles.
Oldham St Anne's also celebrated a first win of the season after sweeping aside Castleford Panthers 20-0 in Division One.
But NCL Division One outfit Saddleworth Rangers exited the Tetley's Challenge Cup at the second-round stage after losing 24-0 at Hunslet Old Boys, from the Pennine League.
In yesterday’s remaining Standard Cup last-four tie, Waterhead beat Higginshaw 56-4. They will meet Rochdale Mayfield in the final at Oldham RU on Easter Monday, April 1.
