Non-league football: MOSSLEY'S Evo-Stik League Division One North play-off bid is back on track with a welcome - and dramatic - first win since early January on Saturday.
Trailing 2-0 at half-time against promotion rivals Trafford, the Lilywhites produced a stirring fightback after the break to win 3-2 and leapfrog their opponents in the table.
Delighted player-boss Steve Halford said: "We were a bit shell-shocked at half-time, but I said to the lads to just give it a go.
“We did exactly that and in the end two top quality goals pulled us through.
"Hopefully this result will prove to be a massive turning point for us."
The visitors opened the scoring in the 17th minute when ex-Lilywhite Michael Oates nodded home.
Seven minutes later Andy Smart doubled the visitors' lead.
The Mossley comeback began in the 48th minute when midfielder Adam Mather drilled home superbly.
Just past the hour mark Chris Denham fired home a rebound to level it up at 2-2.
Denham then scored his second goal and the crucial match-winner with just 14 minutes to go courtesy of a smart turn and finish after being teed up by Chris Brown.
Mossley bid to build on Saturday's welcome win with another home league clash tomorrow against Farsley (7.45pm kick-off).
BOTH CHADDERTON and OLDHAM BORO remain bogged down in mid-table in the Vodkat North West Counties League First Division after disappointing defeats on Saturday.
Boro were involved in a cracker at Holker Old Boys, where they eventually lost out 4-2 having led 2-1 at the interval.
In the same division Wigan outfit Ashton Town maintained their unbeaten home record so far this term with a comfortable 2-0 win against Chadderton.
