Non-league FOOTBALL:
RECENT capture Lee Rick was Mossley's match-winner as they returned from Ossett Town with a deserved 1-0 Evo-Stik League Division One North victory.
The Lilywhites overcame a physical and direct Ossett outfit on an awful pitch.
The only goal came after 25 minutes. Adam Mather was hauled down on the edge of the box, leaving Rick to bury the free-kick past goalkeeper Matt Convey.
Victory leaves Mossley fourth in the table, one clear of Tameside neighbours Curzon Ashton but 14 behind runaway leaders Skelmersdale.
Player-boss Steve Halford said: "That's back-to-back wins for us now for the first time since the turn of the year. It was a really tough game.”
The Lilywhites are in action again tomorrow at Goole (7.45pm).
Tickets are available for Mossley's Manchester Premier cup final clash against Salford City at Stockport's Edgeley Park ground on March 27. Buy in advance from the Seel Park Social Club.
IN the Vodkat North West Counties League First Division, both Chadderton and Oldham Boro's games - at Irlam and at home against Holker OB respectively - were postponed.
