FOOTBALL: FOR the first time in months, Mossley player-boss Steve Halford has a fully-fit squad to choose from ahead of tomorrow’s home Evo-Stik League Division One North clash against mid-table Harrogate Railway Athletic.
It is a timely boost for the play off-chasing Lilywhites, who will be hoping to extend a run of three victories.
“It’s great to have a full squad to choose from,” said Halford. “Good competition gives the players that extra edge, and we need to keep that for the remaining games.
“We’ve got eight cup finals to play now and thankfully we seem to be hitting good form at the perfect time.”
AFTER last weekend’s inactivity due to the weather, both Chadderton and Oldham Boro will be keen to win against lowly opposition in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One tomorrow.
Chadderton – still without injured manager Paul Buckley– will play bottom club Holker Old Boys at home. The Cumbrian side has won only five games all season.
A handful of wins all season is a dismal statistic that also applies to 14th-placed Irlam, who play host to Boro. Irlam have drawn five more games than Holker throughout the season.
